Heather Haddox has over 25 years of experience working in education, program and curriculum development, and advocacy. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education in Spanish and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus on multicultural education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and a Master of Social Work. She has founded three schools in Guatemala for vulnerable children and is currently a Licensed Master Social Worker working at Thrive Wellness as a Clinical Social Work Intern. She developed and managed a program for Afghan Refugees that provided funding for transportation, medical care, education, and housing assistance. She helped develop trainings as a member of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee at the Northern Nevada International Center and has developed numerous trainings in response to staff needs in various organizations where she has worked. She worked as a social work intern for Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services where she did research on trauma-informed legal practice. She is passionate about developing trainings that are evidence-based, engaging, and relevant that motivate change in people and organizations.
